Send passwords, credit card numbers or anything that is confidential to your colleagues or friends. Example: Alice wants to share a password with Bob. She creates a password in Crosspass app on her mobile phone, and receives a Lookup ID and a PIN. She emails or texts the Lookup ID and PIN to Bob and he enters them into Crosspass app on his phone. If the PIN is correct, he receives the shared password and the PIN expires.
